Northern Tool + Equipment

A rude employee at the counter is unacceptable. To make the experience worse the man disrespected and shouted at my wife. I will not go back. 2:15 On June 23, 2026

Customer service is outstanding! Michael and Kevin are the best. I purchased a set of two power tool batteries on line from Northern Tool. One of batteries was defective. I returned them to our Northern Tool store here in Hermantown MN. Michael and Kevin were very understanding and helpful. They walked me through the return policy and at the end of our visit my wife and I were extremely impressed with the exchange. Well done Northern Tool you've got our business for life.

Just want to give a thumbs up to Michael in Hermantown store. He was very helpful and knowledgeable for us as we were looking for a back-up battery. He even called a few days later to make sure it was working well, as expected. His kind of customer service is somewhat rare these days, so I wanted to make sure you know he is a valuable employee. Thanks Michael.

I spent extra money to have my log splitter assembled at the store, (which the manager highly recommended). They didn't bother to check the hydraulic oil bolt under the unit to ensure it was torqued to specs, and it slow leaked over the winter in storage, making a mess and obviously losing the hydraulic oil. The store manager was given a message to call me, and never did. I had to call the store again to get him on the phone. The store manager's excuse was "we don't tighten the bolt". Well that's just great. When I paid to have the machine assembled, I expect that machine to be problem free. This is shoddy, sloppy work from a company that refuses to acknowledge their part and make it right. They did send a replacement bolt, which was not the issue. Awful.
